The Finestitch Experience

When you arrive for your initial consultation, you will realise that buying a tailored suit from us is an experience. We’re not here to sell you something that you don’t want or that doesn’t suit you. As part of our end-to-end service, at Finestitch we strive to ensure that we tailor the right suit for you. We do this by asking questions and listening carefully to your answers, observing your body structure, taking very accurate measurements, and also providing advice based on current trends and our experience and expertise for what will work best for your body type.

Clear communication between tailor and client is essential in order to personalise, improve and update your wardrobe. It is more an image consultation than simply a suit purchase, and the benefit is a better fitting suit tailored to uniquely complement your body and your personality.

Highest quality fabrics

We source only the finest quality fabrics to include in our range – mostly sourced out of England, Italy and Japan. We stock brands such as Taylor & Littlewood, Davis & Anderson, Thomas Fisher, Dugdale Brothers, Holland & Sherry, just to name a few.Fabric range

Our range includes Pure Cashmere Wools in Super 120s to Super 180s thread counts and of varying weights. We also have Pure Cashmere for Top Coats, as well as other fabrics such as Kid Mohair, Corduroy, Cotton, Moleskin, and Wool-Silk blends.

Lining with flair

With Finestitch suits you are able to choose many details in the creation of your garment – including the lining.

While our standard linings are very classy, you may opt to add some extra flair and stand out from the crowd by personalising your suit with an exquisite patterned lining from our collection.

Woolen Felt underlay

The Woolen Felt underlay under the Jacket lapels is not only a sign of superb finishing, but also reinforces the structure of the lapel.

Working Cuffs (Surgeon’s Cuffs)

Working button holes on the cuff of a suit, also known as “Surgeon’s Cuffs”, are a mark of a high-quality bespoke tailor made suit, and require considerably more work on the jacket. At Finestitch we offer this as an option for the discerning customer that wishes to differentiate their garment from the off-peg suits.

Hand Craft Top Stitching

For the prestigious touch, Finestitch custom suits are available with hand craft top stitching around the lapels, pockets, and edges of the suit jacket. Top stitching is recognized as a symbol of a skilfully hand-tailored custom suit, as a Master Tailor inserts each stitch by hand and takes extra care to ensure that each stitch is the same width apart – a skill developed over years of practice to ensure a high level of precision.

Reinforced Buttons

There is an added plastic hold on the other side of the button along with quality stitching around the button to anchor them solidly to the jacket.

Elastic built into the trouser waistband

This adds some flexibility – it helps particularly when you are sitting down or have just eaten a big meal by allowing some expansion to ensure comfort. The elastic also helps to prevent the embarrassing situation of your shirt untucking unexpectedly.

Crotch Guard

For added protection from wear and tear around the crotch area of the trouser, all Finestitch trousers have a built in crotch guard.
