In this case, either you can tell us where your size has changed – e.g. you’ve lost weight and want your trousers tighter by an inch for your next suit. Or alternatively you can get re-measured. Just make a Booking.
Once we have your measurements on file, you do not have to be remeasured and ordering again is very easy and just a matter of picking out the cloths. We can follow your original styling or you can change your styles as well. We usually keep clients sizes on record for the next time you order from us.
After you customise and place your order, in 3 to 4 weeks a custom suit - tailor made with premium cashmere wool will be delivered to you by FedEx. Visit The Process page for further details.
Firstly, what makes us special is that our design consultants can come to you. This way, you can view our fine range of fabrics and samples and discuss the specifications for your tailor made garment with our consultant in the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere else convenient. Absolutely. You can choose any fabric that we have in selection. We carry a range of over 300 suit fabrics and 200 shirt fabrics to choose from.
No, we do not. For all suits, dress shirts, trousers, sport jackets, we charge just one set amount no matter how big or small you are.
Finestitch & Co have a clear, transparent pricing structure. All of our garments are made to the same high standard, with the same quality of construction. The cost only changes in line with the fabric, options, additions, or items you choose (two piece, three piece, extra trousers, etc.). Yes, we offer either a 10% discount for any purchases of three suits or more in a single purchase, as well as for corporate orders, wedding orders, and group purchases. We also offer promotions throughout the year – sign up for our newsletter to keep updated!
All of our garments are made to order, so we don't actually stock any ready made suits unfortunately. Our turnaround time is 4 weeks - when is your wedding?
Great question! There are numerous other custom tailors out there, but ours is definitely different for a variety of reasons such as:
- Every garment that we produce goes through a rigorous inspection and quality control procedure that checks the design and specification of our garment to minimise errors and ensure you get what you’ve paid for. Most of our competitors by comparison usually do not have a dedicated team of specialists to quality check garments as thoroughly as we do.
- Our prices are highly competitive for the quality of fabric and finish we provide. You are dealing directly with the tailor workshop, the fabric supplier, and the retail outlet all in one. In the traditional clothing business you will buy from a retail shop, who will buy from a wholesaler, who buys from an importer, who buys from an exporter, who buys from a factory who in turn buys the materials from various sources - all of these parties add their margins which increase the price for the end customer. With us we are the seller, the production, and we import our fabrics directly from the mills and designers instead of buying them from any middle men. Therefore there is only one layer between you and the fabric, and you are not paying for the service of 5 different levels of distribution. While our prices are lower than other tailors and can match the price of off-the-rack suits, our product is definitely of superb quality and construction and a much better fit.
If you are coming to Sydney at any point, you can certainly arrange an appointment - even if it is a weekend or weeknight. If you are not coming to Sydney, you can still order from us - we can send you a measurement form and instructions, and you can take this to your local alterations tailor who can take your measurements (usually they charge about $10-$25 to take measurements). You can then simply email these measurements back to us, along with your styling requirements and delivery address and we can process your order. Payment will be via bank transfer to our account, as unfortunately we cannot accept credit card payments over the phone. We can also make special interstate visits for orders of 10 suits or more. If you can gather up some friends or colleagues and think you can get an order of at least 10 suits, we can arrange to come and visit you anywhere in Australia!
